Would be nice if the app was optimized for iPhone 6s. Also the battery usage of this app is horrible.
Amateurssssss This needs to be updated ASAP, kind of annoying to be paying for a service and not have the software actually work. It crashes every time I try to locate my vehicle on my 6s. The 6 Plus works fine, but my main line is my 6s and I cant use it on my own car.
Very disappointing service
I have had Hum for three months now. Until this week I thought hum worked great. My check engine light came on yet hum says my car is working perfectly. After calling their "trained" support staff line the woman assured me that if anything was wrong with my car the app would notify me. Well almost $1000 later, my car is fixed. Fixes included a new battery, computer failure fix, and a few other things. The bottom line is, this app should have notified me that my battery was completely bad yet it still gives me a perfect bill of health. Worthless.
The Hum concept is wonderful. App has some issues. Hard to read. Locate vehicle time stamp is wrong if youre outside Eastern time zone.
It would be great if made some feature improvements. Like showing the cars gas gauge fuel level. And given notification for when its low. Please keep adding new features
Bought this to keep track of my kids driving, they are new drivers. Though the ODP part that goes in the car works great the speaker part has problems charging which can be hazardous if the speaker is dead & youre not aware of it that is dead because there is no indication from the unit. HUM customer support does not know how to handle the issue which they are aware of the battery problem on the units and these very nice techs have never seen the product. This could be such a great technology if Verizon fixes the problems!!!
Have had it for 5 months. My daughter who is 19 her car would start they sent someone in 10min to jump her car! Love it! The peace of mind that she is safe
Got the Hum a couple months ago when I was upgrading one of my phones at Verizon. I had Autobrain in my teens car and wanted to use Hum to see how it compares. Autobrain seems to be targeted more for teen drivers, as it has hard braking and hard acceleration alerts and you can set alerts if they are out beyond a set curfew time or outside a specific travel zone. Additionally, it has roadside assistance notification and car diagnostics just like Hum (except the diagnostics dont seem as detailed as Hum). Hopefully Hum continues to add features to make the app more useful. Just to note Hum is $10/month and Autobrain is $15/month. To me Autobrain is worth the extra $5 for my teen driver.
Hum is a nice feature to have. Nice piece of mind. Would really like to either have a map included in driving history or at least the final destination address. It would help me bill out my hours to homeowners if I knew exactly what time I got there and left.
This app logs me out during use then it doesnt recognize my login/password when prompts me to login again.
Have not been able to login nor access my accounts since latest update! This is a good app - when it works. Please fix it, or return to previous version.
Got this product a few weeks back and have been waiting for my diagnostics to come back. Everything is still checking out right, so idk it this product only does the basic diagnostics but it has not told me anything was wrong. If this does not do a good job diagnostic this product is lost. Im going to the mechanic today and see if his machine will pick up anything different. The speaker is not good enough for me to keep the hum. The sound quality is poor, the buttons never stay up. I take it to Verizon they say theirs nothing wrong with the speaker. $230 for my first year of this product I hope it adds value soon!
New version does not recognize previous users. Nor does it remember current vehicles entered. Finally, system will not connect with your server. Did anyone test this new release?
Its quite handy, but ever since the new update a while back, it has become frustrating. Not horrible, but annoying things like logging me out even when I choose the "stay logged on" option, it makes me sign in constantly. Then it goes crazy asking me to scan or manually enter in my VIN number - which I have already done a thousand times. The app is a main component of the service so it is really imperative that they fix some of these issues.
I was never the car guy type. Between my brothers, dad and best friend, I never had to worry. As an adult now, I dont have the proper knowledge of how to do, how much, when or where to do the necessary mechanic details. I love this app! I feel like I understand my car much more now. I have quick access to my milages reports. I get notified on my iPhone when to get an oil change or rotate the tires (no more driving 1k-2k miles over). I now have someone I can call to find out how much a certain repair should cost so I dont get taken for a schmuck. Most importantly I have the ease of mind to know my wife and kids will have quicker emergency assistance if an accident occurs.
I was driving on a winding road in the middle of the night, rain pouring down, and hit head on with a moose. Knocked me unconscious. Thankfully the hum called emergency services for me and gps located me so they could find me.
Just bought this today. Want to connect to my sons car, as hes a new driver and hes leaving on a road trip tomorrow. Ive tried to set up an account repeatedly and it keeps saying that it cant connect to the server, try again later. If I cant set up an account and get the diagnostic info, whats the point? Frustrated!
The hum by verizon is awesome. The only thing lacking is working without errors on the app. It keeps crashing and asking for my vin number every time I sign in. It works online but the app doesnt for me.
