The Jury Is Out to Lunch
Hum was a snap to install, and customer support was great. I just do not get the benefits of having it.
Hum reports the status of your cars battery, alternator, and coolant health. You can use its bluetooth speaker to answer calls without removing your hands from the wheel. In an emergency, you can automatically receive roadside assistance (ambulance and/or police) via the press of a button. The equipment is somewhat clunky.
Hum also includes towing, but this is where the claims become fuzzy. Does the $14.99 per month price tag cover the cost of the towing as does the AAA once a year payment for a club membership?
Well, I have sixty days to make up my mind. Candidly, I think standard cars do most of the above for free (except for the emergency service).
